Most teachers are strict, don’t allow any loose ends, and go ballistic at the sight of anything wrong, Mrs. Smith is different. Mrs.Smith holds out on it for a decent amount of time before she becomes strict. Try guessing how many years she’s been teaching! While some teachers retire after 5-6 years, Mrs. Smith has been working in education for an incredible amount of time: 10 years. Her full name is Athanasia Smith, and she works for the Hart District, having the role of teaching 7th grade English and History. If she wanted to describe her professional biography in 1 to 2 sentences she would say “Live to Learn! And Learn to Live!” It is truly such a great motto for a growing environment.
Mrs. Smith chose our junior high over other grades because she thinks that our age group is truly special and that the students make her laugh. If she were to talk to her 13 year old self she even says that it’s important not to take things so seriously. She likes to set an environment of a “chill teacher” and believes that students should take the initiative to learn and grow.
Outside of school she can speak over three languages, and has triplet sons and dogs. She even says that quote “Everything happens in threes in my life”. Her favorite media, like books, music, movies and stuff is Time After Time by Mikki Daughtry. She says that if she wasn’t a teacher she would’ve liked to be a dog groomer in the alternate universe.
She also says that she is definitely more of a dog person than a cat one. And unlike other teachers who get tired easily, she wakes up early in the morning to prepare for the day and overcome obstacles that stand in her way.
