While most teachers are nice and help you, Mr. Burleson helps ten times more than that. He will encourage you and make sure that you are being healthy and learning what you need to know. Mr. Burleson is a 7th/8th-grade PE teacher. He has been teaching for 10+ years.
Mr Burleson’s “philosophy is to teach students that health and fitness are important and that they should choose a path of lifelong fitness.” He thinks that junior high students are special to teach because they are just beginning to discover their interests and talents. They have their whole life ahead of them and many opportunities in front of them.
If he had to advise his 12- 13-year-old self, he would say, “Trust the process, perseverance pays off” (Burleson 2026).
He also loves to read the bible and sports books. He watches western adventure stories. His general teaching style is energetic enthusiast. This means he is high-energy, interactive, and spontaneous.
If he didn’t teach education, his dream job would be an actor in a movie or a performing artist. If he had to pick dogs or cats, he would pick dogs. Lastly, if he had to pick whether he’s an early bird or a night owl, he would say he is a night owl.
In conclusion, Mr. Burleson is one of my favorite teachers at Rio Norte. He has pushed me in so many ways that other teachers can not. Honestly, he has made me a better person in and out of school.
