Most 8th graders are ready to graduate from Rio Norte, but 8th grader Gabe Escobedo seems to be one step ahead. Gabe is an 8th grader at Rio Norte who loves music. He describes himself in three words. Athletic, quiet, and intuitive. Gabe has a cool personality and a poetic musical inspiration.
Inspiration
He looks up to Steven Morrissey who is a poet and a singer. “Morrissey sang for the smiths in 1983-1987 who then formed a solo-career and still performs today,” says Gabe. This inspired him more in poetry. Gabe says that Steven Morrissey is a very good storyteller and very poetic.
Personality
Gabe was asked if he could spend $1,000 dollars, then what would you spend it on?” Gabe answered, “I would invest it in stocks.” Gabe says that the subject, English, should be based more on poetry instead of reading and writing since we already can read and write. They should focus on poetry as we get older. It looks like Gabe is looking at his future since he was asked, “What is one goal you want to achieve before you graduate 8th grade?” He answered, “I would want to learn about saving money, specifically for cars.”
Gabe is looking forward to his future and is getting ready for it since he said he wants to learn how to save money before he even wants to go to high school! Gabe also loves poetry. All these personality traits make Gabe a wonderful person.
