Modern technology helps people to be more connected than ever, but there may be downsides. The age group that is most concerned with phone addiction is early teens through young adulthood. The areas with the most phone addiction are in Asia, North America, and Australia. It is most used from 5 pm through 9 pm. People like the addiction to social media because it helps their emotions and makes them feel good.
This topic is important to know because too much screen time can lead to eyestrain, neck pain, neck strain, tight and stiff neck, stiff shoulders, persistent headache, sharp neck pain, headache, fatigue, eye pain, muscle pain, soreness, nausea, difficulty sleeping, and in rare cases, chronic brain disease. It can also lead to anxiety, depression, loneliness, and a low self—esteem. These could be annoying to deal with, so like that saying, prevention is better than cure. With too much screen time, your eyes will get tired and feel a burning sensation.

Overall, it’s ok to use phones, but not for hours a day. You could spread it out to like 30 min a day for 5/7 a week, instead of 2 and a half hours for ⅐ days a week.
