Start your day with protein-packed eggs and chorizo, try fish tacos for lunch, and enjoy sizzling fajitas for dinner. La Cocina is a great place for everyone. The food here stands out, and there are many positive vibes and emotions. This place represents the great culture of Mexican heritage very well and really goes above and beyond to enhance the experience. Some areas could improve, so let’s take a closer look at what makes this restaurant unique.
This restaurant is the perfect spot for a lively family meal. The food is consistently delicious, and the drinks are a highlight—many guests rave about them. Prices range from 11-20$ for a meal, but for bigger dishes it could be 18-25$, which may seem a little pricey until you consider the portions. Although the atmosphere can get a little noisy, it creates an energetic vibe that’s part of the fun. Ultimately, what makes this place special is the unforgettable experience and lasting memories you share here.
Think the best part would easily have to be the food and drinks, even for the adults, they have drinks they could have and have a great time. My parents occasionally enjoy some alcoholic beverages, including a Cadillac with Patron. Food was a mouth-watering experience. The drinks are as refreshing as they can be. And the bar had a great view of the sports TVs. Even for the young kids who enjoy sports, they can watch sports too. Although it is possible to see the TVs, you won’t be able to see them well. As a Mexican restaurant, understandably, the servers and waiters speak Spanish, but I think it is nice that they were all fluent in English as well.
One big thing that sort of messed with my review was the lack of seats on a busy day. The wait can range from 20-60 minutes, which could be a little much for a small-sized restaurant! As well as the fact that this is not the best place for a sports game unless you get a perfect view of the bar from your seats.
The overall experience was great, and the food was fantastic here. However long the wait is, the food and drinks are worth it, and no matter what mood you’re in, this food fits the occasion, and the drinks just make everything better. This restaurant is perfect for families who love lively atmospheres, but for people who don’t enjoy this, going during the day would be more ideal. No matter what time of day you go, there is a little something for everyone.
After going over what could improve and what I found was great, I hope you now see the great experience one can have here and the great culture that this restaurant conveys. Although they may have small things like seating and placement of tables or even how long food takes to come out, which could bother people, La Cocina is still a great destination for whatever you may be craving throughout the day. I would recommend something basic with a little something on the side, like the steak or shrimp fajitas. I would say that La Cocina gets ⅘ stars. The reason I don’t give it 5/5 is that real, authentic Mexican food from Mexico or even from the comfort of your home can’t be beat.
