Want to enjoy delicious Indian cuisine and shop for authentic Indian/Pakistani products at the same time? Well, have you been to Namaste Spiceland here in Valencia? Namaste Spiceland is part of a family-owned business that started in Pasadena, California. The Santa Clarita location was established to meet the demand for an Indian market and restaurant in the area. Namaste Spiceland is the perfect place for the family to go if you want great, friendly service alongside some irresistible all-Indian cuisine and to shop for authentic Indian/Pakistani products.
Namaste Spiceland is part restaurant and part grocery store. It is located on 21515 Soledad Canyon Rd, near Impulse Music Co. and the Santa Clarita. The whole franchise is owned by Harsh Malik and has several other locations in Pasadena and Thousand Oaks. It was first meant to be a grocery store, but after demand for Indian cuisine, it turned into an eatery as well, serving both non-veg and vegetarian cuisine, such as samosas, dosas, vada pavs, and more.
The atmosphere there is bustling and peaceful at the same time, like the streets of Delhi. There are many murals up on the walls showcasing their culture and some great food items they serve, such as samosas and biryani, which give it the cultural aspect and some great vibes when dining. They mainly serve Indian cuisine, but also some great Pakistani cuisine, and when you dine, you get a good view of central Valencia. A special dish is the samosas, which have potato and pea filling, and some chutney, which only costs $1.99 for one, $4.60 for two plates.
The food and service there are superb and exquisite. Some real menu hits include the samosas with the mint chutney, paper dosas with sambar and masala, and obviously, the famous butter chicken with its tomato-based soup. The staff and employees there are friendly and kind, and show care for you.
The only bad part here is that sometimes, there are a few bad smells, like if there is some rotten food left, and unhygienic areas, like hair or water on the floor, which might ruin your experience here. However, these are just minor infractions in this thriving, positive business.
The many times I’ve been here with my family shopping, I’ve always been treated with good and fun service, and the food, as always, has been flavorful and delicious. Even though there are some minor infractions, this place is a must-visit for Indian cuisine and Indian/Pakistani grocery shopping for food enthusiasts and families who enjoy shopping.
Namaste Spiceland is truly the perfect place for some true, from-the-heart, Indian cuisine and authentic Indian and Pakistani groceries and products. This place is truly a must-go for your family for Indian cuisine. Yes, people should definitely come here to enjoy some delicious food. And sidenote, while ordering food here, get some chai, samosas with the mint chutney and imli chutney, and some masal dosas with sambar. This establishment gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars on my radar. How about you? Go there today!
