Have you ever had so much Halloween candy that it lasted you to the next Halloween?!? Well, that has happened to me. Instead of throwing it away, I turn my leftover candy into delicious sweet treats. Here are 3!
The first recipe is what we call “Buddy the Elf Rice Krispies Treats”. We call it this because Buddy the Elf always has the most unhealthy candy-filled meals! An example of this is his candy-filled spaghetti! Have you ever tried it? For this recipe, you need your regular Rice Krispies base along with whatever candies your heart desires. I use M&M’s, Kit-Kats, Marshmallows, and Reese’s Pieces, but you can use whatever candy you have. They all taste delicious! This recipe is great to bring to Halloween parties and is very fun to look at with its crazy colors.
The next recipe is called “Trash Brownies”. Even though this is a weird name, it really just means that you can dump anything into the batter, like a trash can. For this recipe, you need a standard brownie base and whatever candy and salty snacks you want. I use Oreo’s, M&M’s, chocolate bars, Reese’s peanut butter cups, Reese’s pieces, potato chips( I would highly recommend this item), pretzels, and nuts. This recipe is perfect for just emptying your pantry after Halloween. The mix of salty and sweet creates a delicious, rich brownie that is hard to resist.

The last recipe is called “Starburst Slime”. This recipe is incredibly easy to make and requires just 2 ingredients, including your favorite Starburst flavors. For this recipe, you need powdered sugar and Starbursts. You first want to put your starbursts in the microwave to make them soft, and then you want to COVER them in powdered sugar. The powdered sugar helps prevent some of its stickiness. After completing the recipe, you should be left with an interactive dessert that is stretchy and delicious! This dessert is also great to make when you don’t like Starburst because you can just turn a hateful dessert into a fun and interactive sweet treat.
In conclusion, Halloween is a great holiday for collecting candy, but at the end of the day, if you end up with too much candy, you can always turn it into delicious sweet treats. These are some of my favorites, but if you want more recipes, make sure to stay tuned for my next article, where I will give out 3 more!
