Movies have grown more and more popular in the past few years. One of the most-watched movies in 2024 so far is the Willy Wonka movie. Many people all over the world have watched this movie and loved it. In the movie Timothee Chalamet, who plays Willy Wonka who is the main character of the movie. 

 Other actors that are seen in this movie are Hugh Grant (Oompa Loompa), Rowan Atkinson (Priests), and Keegan-Michael Key who plays the Chief of Police. All of these characters also play big roles in the movie. The main idea of the movie is a colorful telling of how Willy Wonka, who came to the big city with nothing as a young man, struck it rich in the sweets business by dreaming his big dreams and defeating his difficult obstacles. 

The theme of the movie is to not be greedy and to be kind which represents how mistreated Willy Wonka was when he wanted to chase his dreams. The Willy Wonka movie genre is fantasy/ musical. In the movie, Timothee Chalemet sings lots of songs and enthusiastic dances and performances including The Willy Wonka chocolate dance and the Oompa Loompa dances. 8th Grader Jenna Smith says “ I liked the movie. It had lots of interesting songs and dances that were entertaining.” Which is what many people think about the movie online.

Willy Wonka is one of the first movies released this year and has been very popular across the world. The reason why this movie might be so popular might be because of Timothee Chalamet, but the reviews for this movie have been very good so make sure to check it out in theaters!
