Last Sunday, February 13 was a special day. That special day was the Super Bowl. TV’s were blasting on Sunday when the Rams and Bengals went at each other to win their title of the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Tickets to get into Sofi Stadium were around $8,500, but on Saturday the price of tickets were lowered down to $3,875 to be able to “get in” the stadium. The kickoff started at 3:30, and the gates opened at 10:30. and the lines got so long that people went to Sofi early to skip the extra wait.

The Super Bowl was hosted by the Rams, and the Bengals took a flight to L.A. The Rams had a tough time after halftime because they had Tyler Higbee on IR (Injury Reserve) activated running back Darrell Henderson and defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day. Odell Beckham Jr. was also injured in the left knee ending his season prematurely in the second quarter.

The Super Bowl Halftime Show was one of the best parts of the Super Bowl. The five artists that were playing in the halftime show are Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Combined, they have 22 number one Billboard albums, and 44 grammys. Country music artist Mickey Guyton sang the national anthem. The halftime show lasted a mere fifteen minutes giving enough time to buy popcorn and other snacks at the stadium which then lead to the 3rd and 4th quarter.

The third quarter started off with plays back to back and fouls on the Bengals. They eventually took a lead making the score 20-16 Bengals. Having the lead in the fourth quarter, the Bengals held their ground when the Rams had the ball and they wouldn’t score having trouble. Late into the fourth quarter, Cooper Kupp would make a few catches scooting them up enough to have a first down where they would then settle at the touchdown. The Bengals would foul multiple times giving them first downs and small yard gains. With one more down left Cooper Kupp makes the final catch making the score 23-20 Rams. With a minute left the Rams defended against the Bengals intercepting a catch and kneeling down to call a timeout, winning the game.

In the end it all worked out for the Rams and they won the Super Bowl. Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp won the M.V.P award of the game with eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns. In the season, Cooper Kupp has 145 yards and sixteen total touchdowns. In total, the Rams have 2 super bowl wins since 2000 against the Tennessee Titans. Iconically, the infamous question was asked, “What are you going to do next?” On Monday Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, and Matthew Stafford were at the Anaheim Theme Park in a parade celebrating their hard fought victory.
