On the next pitch he stole second base and was safe. After that Corey Seager hit a line drive down the left field line and Mookie Betts ran to home base making the score 1-0. In the top of the 8th Mookie Betts hit a line drive into center to Kris Byrant. The runner advanced to second and Mookie Betts got a hit. Then Trea Turner hit a pop out to right field and to get the Giants out of the inning. The Dodgers shut out the Giants real quick in the bottom of the 8th. In the top of the 9th, Justin Turner gets hit by a pitch. Then Gavin Lux got a single to make it first and second, one out. With the Dodgers and Giants tied in the top of the ninth, Bellinger in a 1-2 count had a ground ball base hit up the middle off the Giants closer Camilo Doval to score Justin Turner and put the Dodgers ahead 2-1. Max Sherzer makes Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford fly out to left field. 2 outs to go for the Dodgers to go to the NLCS. On a 2-2 count Kris Bryant hits a ground ball down the third base line to Justin Turner. Justin Turner gets it but he bobbles it and because of Kris Bryant’s speed he ends up being safe at first. With a 2-2 count and a runner at first Lamonte Wade Jr struck out looking to make it 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th making it one out away from the Dodgers advancing to the NLCS. Then, with an 0-2 count to Wilmer Flores he strikes out on a badly called check swing to end the Giants playoff hopes. The Dodgers celebrate a big victory against a long time rival. The Dodgers now have to face the red hot Atlanta Braves in the NLCS.
