Upcoming movies coming to theaters in 2024:
Mean girls:
New student Cady Heron gets welcomed into the top of the social food chain by a group of popular girls called the Plastics, ruled by the queen bee Regina George. However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend, she soon finds herself caught in trouble with the group. This new movie stars Renee Rapp playing Regina George, Chris Briney starring Aaron Samuels, and Angourie Rice playing Cady Heron. This will come in theaters on January 12th, 2024.
Despicable Me 4:
Despicable Me 4, set to release in 2024, will continue the story of Gru, his wife, and their adopted kids in the Anti-Villain League. This movie will consist of the same voice actors with Steve Carrell playing Gru, Kristen Wigg playing Lucy Wilde, and Miranda Cosgrove playing Margo. Coming to theaters July 3rd, 2024.
Wicked:
In an alternate look at the land of Oz, the true heroine is wrongfully cast as the “wicked” witch and turns out to be a freedom fighter who battles against the wizard for her homeland. The cast consists of Ariana Grande playing Glinda, Ethan Slater playing Boq, and Cynthia Erivo playing Wicked Witch. It’s coming out in theaters on November 27th, 2024.
Kung Fu Panda 4:
After Po is tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace, he needs to find and train a new Dragon Warrior, while a wicked sorceress plans to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm. Jack Black played Po and also Jackie Chan played Monkey. It’s coming in theaters on March 8th, 2024.
Inside Out 2:
Riley turns 13 and Headquarters undergoes a sudden demolition to make room for new emotions, something Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust weren’t prepared for. The first new emotion they meet is Anxiety. Maya Hawke will be playing the new character Anxiety, Amy Poehler will be reprising her role as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and many more voice actors. This new movie will be coming to theaters June 14, 2024.
