Halloween Movies

It’s October again and even though we’re inside, we can still gaze at movies. If you have Netflix, there are three new halloween movies you can watch.

One movie is called “Hubie Halloween”. It’s about October 31st in Salem, Massachusetts, and a town’s eccentric, devoted community volunteer and the good-natured object of his fellow citizen’s derision and meanest pranks, finds himself in the midst of a real investigation, for a real murderer. Its initial release was on the date, October 7, 2020. This movie is PG-13 and is one hour and forty-two minutes long. An interesting fact is that Adam Sandler’s whole family is in the movie! His two daughters and wife are included in the movie, so look to see if you can spot them.

Do you like babysitters in a secret society, hiring a freshmen student to be one of them and trying to fight the evil Boogeyman and his tiny little monsters to rescue a young boy? Then this movie has it all. This movie is called A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting. Its initial release was on October 15, 2020. This film is TV-PG and is one hour and thirty-four minutes long. An captivating fact about this movie is that the toadies in the film were CGI, so they used silicone props that were about three feet tall while filming.

And lastly, ParaNorman. Even though this movie did not come out on netflix in 2020, it would still be a good choice to watch. Young Norman Babcock has the ability to speak with the dead — and he often prefers their company to that of the living. Norman receives word from his strange Uncle Prenderghast that a centuries-old witch’s curse on their town is real and about to come true — and that only Norman can stop it. When zombies rise from their graves, Norman must summon all his courage and compassion and push his paranormal abilities to the limit to save his fellow townspeople. This movie’s initial release was on August 17, 2012. ParaNorman is TV-PG and is one hour and thirty-three minutes long. A fun fact about ParaNorman is that the same creators of Coraline made this movie.
