One of the most popular searches on google recently is the Coronavirus Vaccine. Recently, Valencia’s Magic Mountain was turned into a vaccination site. Healthcare workers, police, and firemen are administering vaccines as we speak.

Currently, Magic Mountain Vaccination site is administering 2,400 to 4,000 vaccines daily. The vaccines are only for people at risk, 65 and older. This site is providing Pfizer vaccines. Once people get their first dose of the vaccine they are provided with a list of vaccination sites where they can get their second dose. People at the age of 65 and older can sign up to get the vaccine at Magic Mountain or other vaccination sites in LA County on this official site. LA County public information officer for the Firefighter department Marco Rodriguez says that depending on what vaccine people got determines what sites they will be able to get their second dose at.

Magic Mountain’s Vaccination site sets up at around 8:00 am and cars start lining up at approximately 10:40 am. The site is open from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Cars start in the Magic Mountain Parking lot and are guided with cones to Hurricane Harbor’s Perimeter and go past the X-2 roller coaster near the park entrance. The average wait time is 45 minutes to an hour. There are about 200 healthcare workers along with police and firefighters.

There have been windy and cold conditions which makes it hard to keep tents up and healthcare workers and heroes warm. Jerry Cerotino the manager for public relations and marketing at Six Flags says “..Six Flags Magic Mountain is honored to be a Covid-19 vaccination site to help facilitate a broader vaccine distribution in the community, including the Santa Clarita Valley.” “We do look forward to reopening our parks and offering our guests a safe entertainment experience once again,” Certonio added. We are on our way back to normalcy. The US has distributed 56.1 million vaccines. Stay Safe and Stay Healthy RiverHawks!!
