Coronaviruses are a big family of different viruses. Experts say that the new coronavirus COVID-19 was first detected in Wuhan, China, in the later part of year 2019. It has set off a global pandemic. Experts say that coronavirus originated in bats. The coronavirus made the jump to humans at one of Wuhan’s “we markets.” This was where customers buy fresh meat, fish, and include wild animals like wild boars, cobras, and bats. The coronavirus started to infect and spread among people.

The coronavirus spread both inside and outside China. It is now spreading in the U.S. and around the world. It is now a pandemic. The current pandemic has caused a lot of fear and concern worldwide. It has been responsible for millions of infections around the world and causing a lot of deaths. The highest number of deaths is in the United States.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), some recent studies suggest that people may still spread COVID-19 even if they are not showing symptoms. This means that people should follow careful hygiene by washing hands for at least 20 seconds, wear a mask when going outside, and follow six feet social distancing.
