Air Quality

When most of us have stepped outside this past month we’ve seen clouds, clouds of smoke. Since the outraging fires along the west coast continue to burn it’s becoming extremely unhealthy air for anyone who lives in the states California, Oregon, Washington and even some of British Columbia. Los Angeles is being affected by smoke but not nearly as much as San Fransisco. Earlier in the month San Fransisco had the worst smoke they probably have ever had. The whole sky was filled with orange smoke, and so was Oregon. Los Angeles and Santa Clarita are still occasionally getting smoke in the sky.

According to the Weather App, the Valencia air quality is moderate. There is even PM2.5 which is particle pollution, which means there are very tiny particles in the air that can affect your heart or lungs, according to AirNow.gov. This air quality can affect anyone but especially people with asthma. Everyone should be making sure to check weather updates for the air quality and to make sure to spend a limited amount of time outside. Stay healthy Riverhawks!
