The creator of Roblox, David Baszucki, was inspired to create Roblox by incorporating Interactive Physics. Lucas Stolze, the CEO of ExitLag, a company that creates software to enhance gaming, states that interactive physics “enabled students to simulate physics experiments.” For instance, one could simulate a ball swinging back and forth on a rope.

Stolze states, “Roblox’s impact goes beyond just gaming—it has become a social network, educational tool, and creative outlet.”
Roblox is accessible on many different devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Microsoft Store, and PlayStation 4 and 5. Users can create and customize their avatars using the Marketplace, formerly known as Catalog and Avatar Shop, according to the Roblox Fandom Wiki. Users are also able to create their own experiences/games ranging from horror, action, adventure, open world, and puzzle. Creators could
use something called the Creator Store, allowing users to “publish models, scripts, audio, decals, meshes, and plugins for other Roblox users to view or use”(Roblox Wiki). To purchase Avatar items or in-game items, users would use a form of currency called Robux. Where about $1.00 U.S. Dollar is equal to 80 Robux. Users can also subscribe to Roblox Premium, “gives one a monthly Robux stipend and a 10% bonus when buying Robux” (Roblox Wiki).
