As a child, I grew up watching a lot of shows. Now that I am older, I don’t watch them as much, but I love going back and revisiting them. I am forever grateful for the lessons they taught me.
To start, the show Daniel Tiger, for example, has taught me so much, especially about my emotions. It’s a show focused on learning, imagination, and managing feelings. It taught me breathing exercises that I still use today, how to communicate when there’s a problem, and introduced me to emotions I hadn’t even heard of before.
The show Arthur is about a boy and his friends, and you might think, “I can’t learn anything from a show that just features a boy and his friends.” However, from experience, I’ve learned that the show is about kindness and embracing everyone’s differences. What I love most about this show is the diversity among the characters. For instance, there’s Muffy, a monkey, as well as Buster, Arthur’s best friend, who is a bunny. All of these differences are beautiful. Speaking for myself and the audience, this show is a favorite among many.
Additionally, the popular show Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse is still a huge part of the world I live in, especially with the Barbie movie released in 2023. I have learned to embrace my unique qualities and understand that vulnerability is a natural and essential part of being human. Many people believe that Barbie sets unrealistic beauty standards, and you may ask, “Why?” Well, some people feel their bodies aren’t good enough compared to Barbie’s. Even to this day, many people look back at their Barbie dolls and think, “Am I good enough?” I truly empathize with those who feel this way, and I wish them all the best. This show has beautiful lessons that can change the world.
The Loud House is the show I watched most as a kid. It was always on my grandma’s TV. It’s many people’s favorite show because it teaches viewers how to communicate, be themselves, and reminds us that family will always be family, despite disputes or obstacles.
In conclusion, from these shows, I have learned to be kind, understanding, mentally strong, how to properly use my emotions, and to communicate for myself. Each of these shows has a beautiful lesson that has taught us a lot.
As we all know, each show creates an amazing world. For example, Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse features enormous houses, oversized objects, and, of course, the most delicious-looking food. Barbie’s house is pink from head to toe, and don’t even get me started on her closet. Barbie’s closet is as big as a shopping mall, complete with its own small restaurant, a hallway filled with never-ending high heels, and a little friend named Closet. Closet is a camera that listens, talks, and supports Barbie through fashion problems. It’s not just Barbie living in her enormous house; she also lives with her three little sisters (Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea).
The world in The Loud House is the same as the world we live in today. The kids go to school, live in normal-sized houses, etc. However, the Loud House has eleven kids: ten girls and one boy. As we all know, most houses can’t accommodate a family of thirteen people. Most kids would likely have to share rooms if a house does fit thirteen. Or, that family would have to pay millions for a house large enough to accommodate thirteen people. In the Loud family’s house (the main characters), there are only six rooms—one for mom and dad, and then two kids in each room. But if we do the math, there’s still one person left without a room—and that person is Lincoln, the main character. His room is a tiny space, basically the size of a walk-in closet, maybe even smaller! But that family is making it work. Yes, there are ups and downs, but that’s how every family is.
In my opinion, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is the best-looking town. The town features beautiful nature, the cutest shops, and the coziest houses. Daniel lives in a cozy house with his loving mom, dad, and little sister. To get around the town, most people either walk or use Daniel Tiger’s best friend, Trolley. Trolley is a red train that takes people around the town, dropping them off and picking them up. The town also boasts a beautiful beach with perfect blue water, and the soft, grainy sand makes it the ideal beach I’d love to visit.
In Arthur‘s world, everything is very colorful. Each house features something bright, such as a colorful roof or a vibrant door. These beautiful colors make the town as bright as a rainbow. Arthur lives in a colorful house with green walls, yellow curtains, and much more. He lives with his grandma and grandpa, his parents, and his little sisters, D.W. and Baby Kate. Arthur sometimes struggles with being the eldest child, especially with having only sisters. But, as anyone would, he loves them with all his heart.
In conclusion, each of these shows has a very creative and bright setting. Having these shows be colorful and cozy relaxes the human brain.
