Does the new iPhone 16s update make it better than the other models of the iphone? There are a lot of new updates and features like the camera button, the action button, Ios 18, and Apple intelligence. But do those actually make it better than the other models?
- The camera button and camera quality
The Iphone 16, as mentioned, also has a new camera button that is located right below the power button and opens the camera when it’s clicked. It also zooms in and out depending if the user scrolled up or down on the button. When clicked again the camera button, while already in the camera app, will take a picture without needing to touch the screen. The new cameras are the best cameras Apple have ever used on an iPhone before with the new 48-MP/megapixel Ultra Wide sensors which allow the photos to have better quality and better zoom. On the old models like the Iphone 15, it only has 24-MP sensors, and the iPhone 14 and older models have only a12-MP which means they have less better quality and zoom compared to the iPhone 16. Meanwhile in the camera app, when taking a video, it is now possible to pause the video and restart it without ever having to start a new video, which the older models weren’t able to do before.
- Action button
Similar to the iPhone 15, the iPhone 16 has an action button right above the volume buttons where the silence mode switch used to be. The action button still works as the silent mode switch. However, upon opening the settings app it can be changed to other things such as opening an app when pressed or start a voice recording.
- IOS 18
The Iphone 16’s new update IOS 18 has many new features. One of the new features is having more freedom with app arrangements. apps can be moved anywhere wanted. Meaning that apps can move to any orientation like to the middle of the screen or the side of the screen. It can also lock apps so only specific people with the password can get into the app. There are also new app icons for the home screen and new backgrounds.
- Apple intelligence
Apple intelligence is one of the many new features on the Iphone 16. One of the new features for Apple intelligence is a new Siri update. There is a new animation that glows around the phone screen while using Siri. Instead of verbally asking Siri a question or telling her a command, a person can instead just type out what they need. Apple intelligence has a builtin writing tool to help someone with writing using AI. There are also AI picture generators that create pictures with just a sketch or typing in what’s desired. But there is one downside: it is only available for Iphone 15 Pro and later models of the iPhone, Ipad Air, Ipad Pro, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Imac, Mac Mini, Mac Studios, and Mac Pro and later.
