Bruno Mars has been making music since 1990 but only grew rapidly in 2010 with his song ‘Just the Way You Are’ that reached number one on Billboard Hot 100 in many different countries including Canada, Australia, and The United States. But even before his success, he started off as an Elvis Presley impersonator in his parents band at the age of four but as a teenager, he impersonated Michael Jackson at a local concert in his hometown Honolulu, Hawaii. After his first breakout of hit song ‘Just the Way You are’ in his EP (extend play) ‘It’s Better if You Don’t Understand’, that had four song tracks in it which were ‘Somewhere in Brooklyn’, ‘The Other Side’, ‘Count on Me’, and ‘Talking to the Moon’. Mars’ next break-out single, ‘Locked out of Heaven’ which includes his top hits like ‘When I Was Your Man’ with ‘Treasure’ winning him a Grammy for “Best Pop Vocal Album”.
After, Bruno Mars had his first tour called ‘The Doo-Wops & Hooligans Tour’ launching on October 2010 and toured throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Carbibbean, and South America. Then on June 22 2013, Bruno Mars went on tour again for his album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’. Moving onto 2014, Bruno Mars then released his single “Uptown Funk” featuring Mark Ronson. A British producer who recreates 1980s funk into the present day. Once this single was released, Bruno Mars began to go on more tours, making more albums. With a lot of his popular songs like ‘24k Magic’ even had a tour specifically for that album.
After years of making music since the 90’s, Bruno has made a true name for himself in the music industry during the 2000’s, 10’s with making a lot of pop-funk music.
Currently Mars only does small concerts in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Mostly being in Las Vegas, because of his residency in Las Vegas and his annual End-of-the-Year concerts in celebration of the new year. Bruno Mars hasn’t made any new albums or EPs. However, he recently made a new hit called “Die with a Smile” featuring Lady Gaga and held a small concert for its release.
