Three main reasons PCs are better than consoles such as how they don’t crash as much, or that PCs have many more options, and even that they run way smoother compared to consoles. This is because of many things that affect their performance like the graphics card and the Central Processing Unit or CPU. However, if there is no graphics card, the PC will just run on integrated graphics, which are built into the PCs, meaning it won’t be able to run many games.
- PCs don’t crash as much
This is mainly because of the cooling system. In a PC there are usually around 6-8 fans cooling it so it won’t overheat. Also in a PC there is an option to get a water cooling system which may seem like it will ruin the PC because electronics and water are notorious for not mixing well but it’s just a tube full of water that runs through the PC and takes in the heat to keep it cool. But in a console there are typically 2 fans cooling the console which is not a lot to cool a system and can result in the console overheating and crashing.
2. PCs have many more options than consoles do.
On a PC there are multiple web browser options such as Google, Microsoft Edge, Opera GX, and many more. All that include endless amounts of games to choose from such as classic, Flappy Bird to higher skill-level games such as Fortnite or Call of Duty. Meanwhile on a console there is only Microsoft Edge. Although Consoles have both Fortnite and Call of Duty too, it does not have as many game options like in Fortnite changing how much frames per second (FPS) it can get is impossible.
3. PCs run much smoother than consoles do.
Firstly, PCs can have a much better graphics card meaning that they can run games at much higher FPS/frames per second improving the experience. Secondly, PCs can also have a better CPU like in the PS5 there is a AMD Zen 2 which is a CPU processor that the PS5 uses to run. Making it equivalent to the Ryzen 7 3700X which is a processor used in PCs, which is really good. However in a PC there is the option to get a Intel Core i9 12 gen or even better an i9 14 gen, which are two of the best CPUs out there.
In conclusion, PCs are the superior gaming system compared to consoles because they crash less, there’s much more to choose from, and they simply just run way better than consoles.
