It’s common knowledge that physical activity is great for the body, especially beneficial for teenagers. Since people develop physically and mentally most during their young teenage years, it’s ideal to do some sort of physical activity to ensure a healthier life as you progress into your later stages of life. Meaning that Rio Norte should give its students more access to more physical activities.
Physical activity can benefit many people in many ways. It can lower the risk of diseases or bone problems later on in life, and can even make people feel more positive mentally. Since Rio only has space to play basketball and volleyball, many students decide to just walk around.. To solve this problem, Rio should replace maybe just one basketball court and a couple more volleyball courts since not many people use all of the courts, and replace them with a court for other games. Other recommendations are to open the lower fields and gym to everybody so students have more space to play games and other sports.
Sure, some may say that there aren’t enough yard supervisors to watch the lower fields, and the gym might not be available because the PE teachers need to prepare for the next PE class. To solve this problem, Rio Norte should have more sports tournaments. Considering all of the sports equipment that are only used for one unit that students only do once. What if someone really wanted to continue doing a sport they’re doing in PE for fun? Then Rio would have more tournaments that allow everybody to participate whether via watching or competing.
Physical activity is great, and it can help students grow and learn a lot. Overall, integrating more physical activities at Rio would have many benefits and should be considered.
