Recently Mr. Flores, an assistant principal at Rio Norte, made a Mario Kart tournament. Mario Kart is a game that was made by Nintendo. The game features many characters from the Mario franchise. Many people love to race with other friends in a friendly race. It can also be an entertaining game with the family. The game satisfies people who are new to the game or have played the game for a long time already.
Many students decided to sign up for the tournament. To make the tournament fair, everybody used the same character and the same settings. Everyone was set to Mario, with Smart Steering disabled. The cup they played was the Mushroom Cup. Cups in Mario Kart are a series of 4 races put together. When using the Grand Prix mode, you have to pick one of the cups to play. The speed setting of each race was 100cc every time.
In the tournament, each team has 2 players and may have 1 alternate player who can play if one is absent. There are a total of 11 teams that are competing for the top spot in the tournament. The Devil Dusters has player 1 as Andy Mayorga, player 2 as Jayden Freebairn, and an alternative as Xavier Hernandez.
