With the 2024 streamer awards in the books, we now know the best streamers in every category. The award ceremony took place on February 17. The awards consisted of 30 categories with 70% of the votes being fan votes and other 30% being panelist votes. It was founded by twitch in 2022 so this marks its third year. The most popular categories are streamer of the year, gamer of the year, and variety streamer of the year. The streamer awards were amazing because of the many streamers who won the award.
The show was hosted by QTCINDERELLA and POKIMANE. These are two inspirational female streamers. Over 645 thousand people watched the show but even more watched it through popular streams. It was held at the wiltern in Los Angeles, California.
Some of the award winners for the smaller categories include Disguizedtoast, IItztimmy, Fanum, Wirtual, and Quackity. Game of the year went to Lethal company. The best content organization went to AMP. This company includes streamers like Duke Dennis, Just Fannum, and Kai Cenat. For best streamed event it went to creator dodgeball world championship which was by Ludwig. The best breakthrough streamer, and gamer of the year went to Jynxi. The big Caseoh ended up winning best variety streamers. Lastly, for the most anticipated award, streamer of the year, Kai Cenat ended up winning.
People have many different opinions on who should have won. 7th grader Angelo Apelacio said that “Caseoh should have won the best breakthrough streamer because he made me smile everytime he streamed and had so many viewers for all his streams. Even though Jynxi was fun to watch, I enjoyed watching Caseoh more.” Another 7th grader at Rio Norte named Breaker Baun said “I think the awards were fair and that all streamers had an equal chance to win.”
People may disagree with the winners but at the end of the day they did win. Kai cenat won the most awards with 3 and multiple people won 2. The viewers of the show were happy how it went and hope it comes back next year. This show influenced thousands of people to watch new streamers. In 2025 we might have new streamers or the same. Maybe the person you enjoy watching will win.
