Is the Eras Tour Worth it?

Students, Teachers, and some fans believe The Eras Tour is too expensive or “not worth it,” but believe it or not, there are a lot of proven facts that it is worth it. Taylor Swift, the lead singer and director of the Eras Tour, just finished her United States part of the tour. She announced a few weeks ago that she will be touring the world, going to different continents.

For starters, the tickets are ranging from about $300- $800 per seat. But, resellers, fans who already bought tickets are selling them, are listening to them for much higher prices. The performance lasts for about 3 ½ hours, with Taylor having different opening acts to start it off. She performs most of her albums, not including her debut album. She also performs 2 surprise songs every show that she hasn’t performed before at the Eras Tour. Fans were suspecting the release of her re-recorded album 1989 and it turns out it was true. On her 19th show on August 9th, she released which made the crowd go wild in excitement of the upcoming release.

Before her show, she had a few opening acts on different days but a few are HAIM, Girl in Red, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, and a few more. A special fact is that Taylor Swift gives a special 22 hat from her album “Red” to one of her fans from the crowd. Also, every stadium has about an 80,000 capacity and each person has a light-up bracelet for the show. It shines different colors throughout each song and looks beautiful amongst the crowd. Some people all over the world are upset because Taylor Swift fans are causing a bunch of traffic all day making it hard for them to come home from work, school, etc..

The merch is also a little on the pricey side being about $55-$75 for all the shirts and sweatshirts but it’s high-end quality merchandise for you to use every day. Some merch items consist of a blue crewneck, shirts, sweatshirts, and even posters and water bottles. The food there ranges from about $5-$20 and it consists of small pizzas, water, small candies, hot dogs, and different kinds of chips. Also, you can make bracelets and trade them with people at the concert and possibly make new friends from it! 8th grader, Avery Hindman states, “The Eras Tour was so good! It was so worth it and one of the best nights of my life! I traded so many bracelets.”

The concert itself may be expensive, but if you really want to go, it should be worth your money. You can get food, and merch, and experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 3 ½ hours with one of your favorite artists and experience some new artists for the opening acts.
