LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
May 20, 2022
The recently new video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been a popular topic amongst the gaming community. The game is an action-adventure game that is based on Star Wars but in a LEGO theme/style. It is retailed at $59.99 but has another version that’s called the Deluxe Edition which is priced at $69.99 that includes the base game, Character Collection (Season Pass), and if you get the physical copy of the game it will have an exclusive LEGO Star Wars “Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk Minifigure”. It was released on April 5, 2022, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Although this is the case, it was developed by Traveller’s Tale (TT Games). This company was the successor to the past lego star wars project LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The Skywalker Saga is available to play on the following: Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Playstation 5, and Microsoft Windows.
This game has recreations for all nine main movies in the Skywalker Saga. It also includes downloadable content that gives you access to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and both seasons of The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch. A usual playthrough of (TSS) will take about 20-35 hours to complete. If you want to get all the other content in the game like the Kyber Bricks and Data Cards, then it’ll take about 40-70 hours to complete. Split-screen local co-op will be available to play. There are 45 levels in total and 9 episodes, and each episode contains 5 levels. Without including DLC characters there will be 384 characters that are playable, compared to the other SW LEGO Games this game has more advanced graphics and features. Although there is a fan feature that this game doesn’t include, that is the customization for your own character. In the game LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga there was an option for you to create your own Jedi or sith but that is no longer available. One feature that was in the complete saga was how the characters would not really talk. They would growl in different forms of onomatopoeia. The Skywalker Saga has complete voice acting for all the characters but also has a mode called “mumble mode”. It’s just how the name states, instead of the people using actual words they will speak gibberish. It’s not as close as the one in the past but fans still appreciate it.
Calvin Stimac, A 7th grader at Rio Norte says “The game is an exciting and action-packed LEGO game. I bought it because I am a fan of the Star Wars series”
“LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a great video game if you are a fan of lego games or Star Wars. It has memorable scenes from the movie implemented into this lego version of it. There are also boss fights like fighting “Darth Maul’ and “Kylo Ren” but also other minigames like Podracing. Another Star Wars game was in the making called “Star Wars: Hunters” and it is a mobile game. Its full release is set to be in 2022 but there is no further information on that yet.
