Chipotle Mexican Grill presents a Drive-Thru “Chipotlane” in Santa Clarita
February 14, 2022
“Now, [with Drive-Thrus] customers can have the convenience of the fast-food experience but elevated food.” – Jack Hartung.
Chipotle, the “food with integrity” is beloved and favored by all, right? Well clearly as the never-ending lines persits for what seems like miles and miles. However there is one thing that turns few away from the flavorsome burrito bowl. It’s having to get out of the car! For some, it is too much of an inconvenience to park, get out of the car, then wait in the line to receive “fast food” and for others they are just lazy. But that is ok, because chipotle has released its new “Chipotlane” location in Santa Clarita so that everyone can enjoy a signature plump burrito without having to get out of the car.
To successfully use these chipotlanes customers order and pay ahead on the mobile app and then drive through the drive through for a quick easy handoff at the drive up window. This location is located off of Santa Clarita and Bouquet Canyon Rd
at 26543 Bouquet Canyon Road in the corner of the Bouquet Canyon plaza near the Starbucks, Jack in the Box, and Lowe’s. Replacing the Boston market in August of 2021 Chipotle and the Chipotlane is now operating for the lazy and non-lazy chipotle lovers as of Jan 19, 2022. Open from 10-30 am – 10:00 pm customers can enjoy late breakfast, lunch or dinner. People can eat burritos for every meal if they’re in that type of mood.
The question going around is how this new addition will affect this plaza’s parking lot. Without including Chipotle this plaza consists of a Petco, Trader Joes, Best Buy, Bedder (mattress store), Hobby Lobby, Turner’s Outdoorsman, Sola Salon, Jack in the Box, Trek, and a Dairy Queen. Before Chipote this hectic parking lot was already packed. Now with it it looks like a crowd of cars at a concert. Was putting a Chipotle here a good choice? Well let’s see, in the Santa Clarita valley there are now three chipotles located ≈ 7 mins away from each other. One at the Westfield mall, one at the Highridge crossing, and the new one on Bouquet Canyon Rd. Sounds pretty reasonable. This location is conveniently located by neighborhoods and schools so kids, family’s, parents and grandparents can grab a quick meal without having to drive to a farther location.
According to my experience, It is obvious this chipotle is well taken care of because the landscaping is very organized and overall everything is sharp and clean. This is a very fast and efficient way of getting a scrumptious burrito. First, my mom selected what I wanted on the chipotle app. Then, we selected the chipotlane button on the pickup tab and the earliest time slot. Last, we came at the time selected and waited in the drive thru line till I picked up my burrito and drink. Overall I gave the chipotlanes a 8/10 only because the line was a little long and crowded, however the food was the same as usual and we didn’t have to get out of the car![p
