Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is an adventure anime that has been ongoing since 1987, written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. Currently, there are 5 full animated seasons of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (JJBA). The series is streamable on Netlfix, Hulu, ESPN, Disney+, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and more. Recently, the news of Stone Ocean has been talked about all over the media.

Stone Ocean takes place in Florida, the year of 2011. This is ten years after the previous season called Golden Wind, which took place in 2001. We are first introduced to the main character, Jolyne Cujoh who is being arrested for a crime she did not do. She’s been sentenced to 15 years at Green Dolphin Street Prison, nicknamed ‘Aquarium’.  Her father sends her a mysterious pendant. When she was scratched by the object, a mysterious power within her was awakened. She kept this power a secret until she arrived at the Aquarium. While Jolyne waits to be transferred to her prison, she befriends someone named Ermes Costello and creates an ally. Once she’s arrived at the Aquarium, a mysterious boy appears and warns her about the visitation room. She ignores this reminder and goes anyway to see her unknown visitor. That’s when she meets Jotaro Kujo, and then everything goes downhill from there.

The news of Stone Ocean being animated was first announced on April 4th, 2021. There’s 17 volumes in the manga. Fans have been waiting for the new season to come out. Noah Yu, a 7th grader here at Rio says, “I’m excited for the new season because I like the series.” On December 1st of 2021, the first 12 episodes of Stone Ocean were exclusively broadcasted on Netflix. This means that Netflix is the only place you can watch the new episodes in the U.S. for now. However, not all the episodes of Stone Ocean have been released. Fans believe that the rest of the series will be released on the first of March, April, or May 2022. If you’re a fan of Jojos Bizarre Adventure, make sure to look out for the new episodes coming soon.
