Stephanie Matto starred on the popular television show 90 Day Fiance. After this, she began to focus her life on social media platforms. For example, she has 100k followers on Tik Tok and 375k subscribers on Youtube. At a certain point, she began to face her life towards being a “fartreprenuer”. Not only did she sell jars of her farts, but also began a side job to make money by showing videos of how her jars were made. She was able to make lots of money, and even though it may seem like “easy money” her job would actually come with many consequences.

Matto began to run into trouble due to her making up to 50 jars a week. The average human usually only farts 5 to 15 times a day. However, this is not a life threatening problem. Matto would change her diet to make her “farting more efficient.” She changed her diet and started living off of beans and eggs. She soon added protein shakes to her diet after she found out they make her farts smell worse. The smellier, the better. Stephanie Matto stated, “It was quite hard to breathe and every time I tried to breathe in I’d feel a pinching sensation around my heart. And that, of course, made my anxiety escalate.”

She ended up having to visit the hospital frequently because she often felt like she was going to have a heart attack. Matto also states, “I didn’t tell my doctors about the farting in the jar but I did tell them about my diet.” The doctors soon found out that she was not in fact having a stroke or heart attacks; instead, she was facing severe gas pains. She was advised to change her diet, which unfortunately ended her farting business.

After Stephanie Matto officially ended her fart jar business, she began making Fart Jar NFT’s. In the end, if Matto would have continued her farting business, she may not have made it out alive or at least in a good medical state. So, in case you ever consider making easy money inspired by Stephanie Matto, make sure to consider all the challenges it may come along with.
